Ground Beef and Broccoli

An easy and delicious dish that combines savory ground beef and vibrant broccoli for a satisfying family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
  5. Mix together soy sauce and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth, then add this mixture to the skillet.
  6. Stir well to combine, allowing it to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes. Ensure broccoli remains tender-crisp for the best texture.
