Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops

Delicious and straightforward garlic parmesan pork chops seared to perfection with a buttery garlic and herb sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a blend of thyme, oregano, and basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chops from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add the butter and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the grated parmesan and herbs until well combined.
  7. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest before serving.

Notes

Allowing pork chops to rest after cooking helps maintain juiciness.
