Creamy Crockpot Cajun Butter Chicken

A comforting and flavorful slow-cooked dish combining tender chicken with a rich, buttery Cajun sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts (skinless and boneless)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Serving suggestion: White rice or crusty bread

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Season generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Scatter the diced onion and minced garlic over the chicken.
  3. Cut the unsalted butter into chunks and place them on top.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until tender.
  5. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream until well combined.
  7. Spoon the creamy chicken over white rice or serve with crusty bread.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh Cajun seasoning. Adjust consistency with chicken broth if needed.
