Asian Meatballs

Delicious and tender Asian meatballs infused with garlic and ginger, served with a rich hoisin sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, or chicken)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, minced ginger, egg, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix until everything is well combined.
  2. Shape the Meatballs: Form the mixture into small, even-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Arrange in the Crockpot: Place the meatballs in a single layer in the crockpot.
  4. Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce and water until smooth.
  5. Cook: Pour the sauce over the meatballs in the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  6. Serve: Gently remove the meatballs from the crockpot and serve them hot.

Notes

Don’t overmix the ingredients to maintain a tender texture. Use fresh garlic and ginger for the best flavor.
